The purpose of the study is to trace development theme happiness in relation protagonist novel “Jane Eyre” by English Victorian writer Charlotte Brontè. It discovered that pursuit becomes an internal impetus driving plot novel, ensuring protagonist’s image and promoting such leitmotifs as creativity, love, freedom, naturalness, fight for one’s life. Particular emphasis placed on search individual components external life comprise plotline personal happiness.
